Fast fashion is on the rise due to social media influence and as a result people purchase what they don't really need. As opposed to fast fashion that treats clothing as disposable, sustainable fashion is all about buying one high-quality product that can be used for a long period rather than 5 low-quality items that will be thrown out or used once.

According to EARTH.ORG, slow fashion is a movement that advocates for environmental and social justice in the fashion industry. Its defining point is that it zeroes in on the problem of overproduction and overconsumption.

Examples of slow fashion’s key philosophies include:

A shift from quantity to quality, both in production and consumption. It’s not hell-bent on constant growth or accumulating more.
Manufacturing that respects the environment by using low-waste processes and avoiding harmful chemicals.
Providing workers a living wage and healthy working conditions.
Producing collections in small batches or on a pre-order basis to avoid unsold inventory.
An uncomplicated supply chain where raw materials and labour aren’t scattered across the globe. It uses local materials and employs local workers as much as possible.
Transparency and honesty in its supply chain and practices.
Using natural fibres, deadstock fabrics, or old textiles for upcycling.

Love Funmi is very passionate about conscious consumption, we operate on small batches production and made-to-order business mode. We strongly support brands that start production only after receiving customers order.

As we aim to protect the environment, we donate one tree per order through our partnership with One Tree Planted. One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization focused on reforestation, rebuilding forests after fires and floods, providing jobs for social impact, and restoring biodiversity. With each donation received, One Tree Planted plants trees around the world, contributing to a positive environmental impact. Everytime we make a tree donation, a notification and copy of our donation certificate is sent to all our subscribers.

Some products are tagged “To be crafted” because the brands that we work with need to create your order from scratch. Please note that you can check the crafting time in the product page and when your order is ready to be shipped, we will send an email with specific tracking information for your package(s).

Different shipping service are available at checkout for you to choose from.

Please pay particular attention to the crafting time (if there's one) as this will be factored into your your estimated delivery time.

Once your order has been shipped, it can take between 2 - 8 business days to arrive, based on the shipping option that you selected at checkout. When selecting a shipping option, please note that we are only provided with an estimated delivery date from the carriers that we work with. On occasion, these packages can arrive outside of the estimated timeframe.

For international shippments, the shipping timeframe depends on your destination and the shipping service selected. Please refer to the estimates provided at checkout.

Whilst we do accept returns, we kindly ask that you consider your purchase carefully. The brands we carry are aiming for zero-waste and positive impact, so, we would like to encourage our buyers to be more conscious of the impact returns have on the environment and brands.

That been said, you can return or exchange any item within 14 days from receipt of delivery. To start a return, you can contact us at support@lovefunmi.com. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Arrange to ship the product back, using a trackable and signed for delivery service. Please note, you will have to bear the cost for returning the product.
